Steve has been the President/CEO of McKenzie Health System since 2008. During this period Steve has shifted the culture of the organization such that they now embrace change. McKenzie Health System is a rural critical access hospital in Sandusky, Michigan and is recognized in Michigan for being very progressive in shaping a delivery system that supports population health management. Steve has been actively engaged in the Michigan Health & Hospital Association and the Michigan Center for Rural Health since 2001.
Steve serves on multiple healthcare related boards, is an advisor for nurse anesthesia doctoral candidates at the University of Michigan and is an Assistant Professor for Central Michigan University’s College of Medicine. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Oakland University; a master’s degree in Nurse Anesthesia from Southern Connecticut State University; and a Doctorate in Health Administration from Central Michigan University.
